Bell Living Lab (PT. Kurva Lonceng Khatulistiwa) is an Indonesia-based innovation hub dedicated to transforming organic waste into sustainable materials for fashion, furniture, and interior applications. By leveraging biotechnology and circular economy principles, Bell Living Lab develops eco-friendly alternatives such as leather-like materials, flexible boards, and bio-composite panels made from upcycled coffee waste.
Committed to both environmental sustainability and social impact, Bell Living Lab collaborates with local coffee farmers communities, vocational schools, and industry partners to create green jobs and empower future artisans. Through its initiatives, the company not only reduces industrial waste but also fosters skill development, ensuring that sustainability-driven craftsmanship becomes a viable economic opportunity for Indonesia's next generation.
At Bell Living Lab, we transform coffee waste and other organic byproducts into innovative biomaterials that combine science, design, and sustainability. Through continuous research and development, we engineer leather-like alternatives, bio-composite panels, and flexible boards that are durable, functional, and scalable for industries such as fashion, furniture, and interiors.
Each material is not only rigorously developed to meet performance standards but also carries a story of turning waste into new possibilities. By blending sustainability with aesthetics, we provide industries with high-quality, environmentally responsible solutions that prove innovation can be both purposeful and beautiful.
Bell Living Lab collaborates with 3 coffee farming communities around Bandung Areas and partners with more than 60 coffee shops across Bandung and surrounding areas, collectively diverting over 300 tonnes of coffee waste each year from landfills. This initiative not only reduces environmental impact but also creates tangible benefits for local farmers, generating 10–20% additional income through waste processing and sales.
Our commitment goes beyond materials—we also invest in education and skills development. Through training and mentorship programs, vocational students gain hands-on experience in sustainable material innovation, with clear pathways to employment. Today, our materials are reaching both local and international markets, advancing the adoption of waste-based alternatives in fashion, furniture, and interior design. Each impact milestone reflects our mission to build a circular economy where communities, industries, and the environment thrive together.
