At Bell Living Lab, we transform coffee waste and other organic byproducts into innovative biomaterials that combine science, design, and sustainability. Impacts
Bell Living Lab collaborates with 3 coffee farming communities around Bandung Areas and partners with more than 60 coffee shops across Bandung and surrounding areas, collectively diverting over 300 tonnes of coffee waste each year from landfills. This initiative not only reduces environmental impact but also creates tangible benefits for local farmers, generating 10–20% additional income through waste processing and sales.
Our commitment goes beyond materials—we also invest in education and skills development. Through training and mentorship programs, vocational students gain hands-on experience in sustainable material innovation, with clear pathways to employment. Today, our materials are reaching both local and international markets, advancing the adoption of waste-based alternatives in fashion, furniture, and interior design.
